After leaving Managua, we headed south through Masaya Volcano National Park. We stopped for a delicious traditional lunch, where Amelia and Soren spent most of their time on an old-school seesaw, breaking off only to taste the four types of plantains on offer! Later on, we stopped off for a view of a crater lake, along with many of the natives traveling on the ubiquitous public buses - all repurposed and definitely repainted American yellow school buses.
