Band Practice

We had an impromptu pizza party with our friends Zoe and Devin (and their mommies Amy and Darcy) this weekend, and the kids provided the musical entertainment.  The violin-guitar-piano combo impressive, but the kids really took it to a whole new level when they added a couple of harmonicas!

Josie and Will

Amelia and Soren have recently been spending a lot of time playing with our next door neighbors, Josie and Will.  The girls have been trading princess dresses and putting on ballet shows, while the boys have had fun showing each other skateboard and basketball tricks.  Hopefully, the beginning of some great friendships!

Build-a-bug

We made a quick trip to the Pacific Science Center to see the kids' first Imax movie - Flight of the Butterflies 3D - which they loved (Soren was trying to catch the butterflies for a good 10 minutes)!  Afterwards, we visited the live butterfly garden, and then spent some time building some colorful bugs.

Gymnastics Party

Soren went to his friend Malia's birthday party this weekend at a local gym.  He'd been pretty cautious about  trying some of the larger apparatus on previous visits, but as you can see, this time he tried everything and had a blast, especially on the trampoline track!

Symphony

This past weekend, Amelia, Soren and Daddy went to a children's concert at the Seattle Symphony.  After the performance, the kids got to meet a couple of the performers, as well as the "Story Fairy."  Amelia particularly loved the performance, and the chance to watch the violinist up close!

Puppet Show

Amelia's class made puppets and put on a puppet show for the parents.  Here is her skit:

Fun with Nana and Taid

While Mommy and Daddy were off having fun in Brazil, Amelia and Soren had a great time in Seattle with Nana and Taid.  They spent a lot of time riding their bikes, and also built a cardboard version of our house in the evenings with Taid.
