We had a fun father-daughter Sunday afternoon, including Amelia's second cross-country meet - with Daddy as a monitor out on the course - and after some hot chocolate and a hot shower for Amelia, the Sounders game in the evening. Amelia had a great time cheering the Sounders on, though we had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the end!

The Tooth Fairy
We finally had a reason for the Tooth Fairy to come visiting: Amelia lost her first tooth! She actually lost it climbing out of the pool at swimming class, but the teacher luckily found the tooth, so we had something to put under Amelia's pillow. The Tooth Fairy must have loved that tooth, because she left Amelia a card, some stickers and a $1 bill. Amelia is already checking her other teeth for any wiggling!

The Running Girl
Amelia decided to join the FASPS cross-country team this fall. After a few practices at school, and some practice runs with Mommy around the park in the evenings, Amelia was ready for her first meet. She had a great time running with her friends Vivian, Dahlia and Meryl, and definitely got a true cross-country experience, with the lovely Seattle fall weather! Soren had a great time cheering for his big sister, and we all enjoyed some chocolate milk to celebrate afterwards.

Wimbledon, Here We Come!
Soren is finally old enough to take tennis classes. Happily, there is a bit of actual tennis involved, as well as the required red light, green light and duck-duck-goose. It's good to see that Soren won't give up on a ball!

A Feast of Honey
After stuffing themselves (and their friends Julia and Ethan) with apples and honey, and chocolate-covered honey cake, Amelia and Soren decided that honey is the key to any good celebration. Definitely a sweet way to celebrate the new year!
