This week, Amelia "jumped" into the pool at swim lessons, then we turned around to find Soren threatening to climb right out of his carseat!

Rained Out

We had tickets to see Joan Baez at the zoo this Thursday, but there was a heavy rain and thunder storm that night. Instead, we spent an hour and a half in the car driving to the zoo and back "just in case" the rain stopped. No luck. So we had a picnic in the living room, and Amelia taught Soren some new dance moves.

Tomatoes

Proud papa recently harvested the first tomato of this year's crop. Not long after, there were enough for a small salad!

Oregon

We just returned from a fun trip to Manzanita, Oregon where we escaped the Seattle heat wave in the cool coastal mist.

Amelia got to spend some quality time with cousins Sophie, Max and Gavin.

We took a day trip to explore the bright lights of Seaside.

And after attending the Jorgensen family reunion on Saturday, we spent the night in Portland before heading home. Here Jonathan samples a local favorite, the bacon covered maple bar from Voodoo Donuts.
