Goodbye, Tree

After seemingly endless negotiations with our neighbor, the tall cedar tree in front yard came down today. We were sad to see it go, but we all sleep a little better knowing it won't fall down and hurt someone. It was quite something to see the arborist at work, and our entire house smells like a sachet factory now!

First Caucus

Amelia went to caucus today, braving lines around the block and fire code violation crowds in the process. She studied the campaign literature carefully, but we're pretty sure she's a Hillary supporter. :)

Aunt Edie

Amelia's great-aunt Edie came to visit today, and brought her a very cute family of polar bears. Grandma Elise also fed Amelia her first bites of lasagna - what a day!
