Beach Park

Amelia's most requested summer activity is to visit the "Beach Park" over in Kirkland. It's a nice place because there's a small beach right next to a nice jungle gym so there's lots to do. On a recent trip, Auntie Zoe, Ken and Soren perfected their napping skills. It would have been a perfect day if only someone had bought Amelia a real ice cream cone.

Big Sister

Amelia seems to be adjusting well to her new role as a big sister. She is very affectionate with Soren, he might even say she's overwhelmingly so...she loves to hold and tickle him, and is always ready with a tissue when "milk is coming out of his mouth." She is slowly but surely figuring out exactly how gentle she needs to be with him, but to see the two of them together is very sweet.

Bouncy Castle

Last weekend we went to the Bellevue Strawberry Festival. There weren't many strawberry-related activities, but Amelia had a very good time in the bouncy castle.

Garden Watering

Amelia loves to help out around the house. She's recently been helping her Daddy water the plants, though she is as interested in getting herself wet as in making sure that the plants get enough water.

Daddy's Ties

Amelia loves trying on her Daddy's ties in the morning. It's so hard to choose just one!

Visit from Nana and Taid

Shortly after Soren's arrival, Nana and Taid came out to Seattle for a visit. Soren spent much of the time sleeping, but Amelia kept Nana and Taid busy, making sure that they got to visit all of her favorite parks, the beach and her Goggy's house. As a result, Soren wasn't the only one sleeping like a baby!
